Giovanni`s Italian in Sylacauga

The white chocolate bread pudding was the best thing on the buffet. Only downside is, a lot of the items were swimming in butter. We all know butter makes everything taste better, but I couldn't indulge here more than once a month.

Kinda pricey for the food but the service was great

I ordered buffalo chicken fries, they looked delicious on site had them delivered, the guy showed up 1hr late and fries were dry and chewy. He forgot half the order .... he came back and stated sorry it was in my trunk!!

The chicken plate, stuffed with cheese, I got was very good and that included the salad bar which was very good. The lettuce at the bar with exceptional! It's very disappointing to visit a salad bar and the lettuce to be brown, BUT that wasn't the case here. I filled up on the salad bar before my plate of chicken came so I ended up taking half of it home with me. It was very good warmed over for lunch the next day.My husband had a pasta dish and had half left over as well. Plenty of sauce to go over all of it.Tea is very good also.Price was right tonight. Thursday night, 2 could eat for 21.99, I believe. Anyway it was a good price for the amount of good food we received. We will be visiting again. REMEMBER good salad bar.

Was told by a bunch of people to try out this pizza out. The chicken alfredo was amazing. I am a man with a big appetite for great food. Giovanni's didn't let me down either. It took around 20 minutes for our food to come out to us but it was worth the wait. This Pizza was was $20 but it could feed 3 to 4 people. I only ate 3 slices and I was stuffed. There sweet tea was great also. If I didn't hear about it from friends that went there before I did, I would have never known it was there.

My entree was not edible, but the other 2 were great and the cheesecake is to die for!!

Not as good as it used to be, unfortunately. We drove a bit to eat here and the food was mediocre at best. Hate to see this one time great restaurant slide so far.

Stopped by on a Sunday, they were having a buffet but we were not that hungry so we ordered off the menu. Our food was fabulous! The staff was great too! The owner even stopped by our table and offered us a cupcake off the buffet for dessert, Wow! We will definitely be back with our husbands!

It was Sunday Feb 9 2020.we made it at 11:25 am . The green beans were cold, as if they were poured straight out of the can and added sugar. Chicken wingettes were cold with cold sauce on them and tasted like day old hard wingettes. My husband said the fish was cold but it had a great taste. Bread pudding was amazing. Pizza was good. My husband said lasagna was good.

Great service and food was good and large portions atmosphere was it as others Giovanni's I've been too but I'm ould go back if we are here again. Heading toTalledega Speedway tomorrow.

My husband and I ate there for the first time today, and we were highly impressed. Well worth the price.

This was our first time to eat there. The waitress was great; friendly, attentive and efficient. Not so much the atmosphere. The music was much too loud. The floors were horribly sticky as though something had been spilled over the whole place. Even though the restrooms were clean, the latch on the stall door would not work at all. The food...well I was disappointed!! It was edible but just not very tasty at all. I had the lasagna. The best part of my meal was the bread that was brought before the meal, it was really good. The prices are pretty high for what it is. This is a combo restaurant and bar. Typical black ceilings, etc. Just not our kind of place so I doubt we will go back. Some may really like it, it just wasn't our "cup-of-tea".

Warm and friendly ambiance. Janean was a pleasant server. Only reason I didn't give a 5 star rating is because we ordered an appetizer and they forgot to bring it to us. By the time we received it it was room temperature. It was still good though. My daughter didn't like her stromboli. Being from the Philadelphia area I guess it just didn't taste like home.

They were out of what I order and the lasagna was average kinda taste frozen. I do like the pasta salad. It's a little overpriced for the food quality.

I was very optimistic based on reviews. Service was extremely SLOW. We ordered our dinner and was surprised waitress didn't ask us what kind of dressing for salad. After about ten minutes we ask another waitress about our salad and she said there was a one time sale bar across the room. So we go over there and there is just enough lettuce for our two salads, and they are out of thousand island. We finish our salad and still no food. My friend ordered fettuccini Alfredo (how long can that take? Really!) Our food arrives and it's OK. The eggplant was good but my noodles were Al dente. The Alfredo sauce was bland. It was a Friday night, but the tables were not full and they had probably 3-4 waitresses. Maybe they only had one cook. I would not go back

Ordered $38 worth of food, one being a large meat lovers and the other being a $12.99 thing of spaghetti. I got all the way home, I’m getting ready to eat and there is no sauce on my spaghetti. Just meat and a bunch of dry noodles. I called and they made it right by voiding the spaghetti off because I was not about to drive 25 minutes back in the rain to go get the spaghetti. I’m just disappointed because every time I order Giovanni’s I get spaghetti.

I think tonight may have just been a bad night. It was a full house and there were only 2 waitresses for the whole building. The wait in general was long. The food was decent, we had the Alfredo. We've been here before in Valentines day and the food was incredible though. For now it's a roll of the dice.

It's a great place to eat amazing food!! I love there huge buffets during the week and they have the best pizza pies and calzones & stromboli's around not to mention there lasagna and spaghetti! Great service friendly faces that want you to get full and enjoy your time there with them!! 😁

Food was very good but we had to wait forever on our food. A family member got the soup and salad bar. The soup finally came out after asking about it multiple times. It was still cold. Our waitress was super sweet and did a great job to make sure we were taken care of.

The People who own the place come out to the tables and chit chat with the patrons and make them feel special. The girl who work there are very sweet. I absolutelt loved it.

This place is better than that olive chain restaurant ever thought about being. Me and my wife go out of our way to eat at this location. Great service and great food.

We live two and a half hours away, but still make the drive in order to enjoy Giovanni's. Great service and even better food.

We had the lunch salad/pizza bar. It was excellent! We were surprised by the options-in addition to really good pizza there were two pastas (shrimp tortellini and cheeseburger), delicious loaded mashed potatoes, wings and corn that we didn't try but others seemed to enjoy, and the best apple cobbler/crumble I ever remember eating. Husband loved the blue cheese dressing, pizza, pastas & mashed potatoes. I loved the salad bar, shrimp pasta, mashed potatoes and, of course, the cobbler! It is a bit pricey for lunch but in this case you get what you pay for - worth every penny!

Make sure you go in there hungry. The food is great and portion sizes are huge. My husband got the stuffed baked ziti and could only eat half. The price was great, I have paid way more for food that was no where near the quality this was. Then to top it off, we went in on Easter Sunday evening, and the service was great. Even though they had just finished what I would assume was a fairly busy Sunday, there was not a moment that any of the staff looked frustrated in fact we were checked on by everyone. I use to be a FOH restaurant manager and I was impressed. Whatever y'all are doing, please keep it up! We will be back next time we come through town.

The owners are very sweet people. When they are there they walk around and have friendly conversations with their customers. The food is always delicious, they have spaghetti, pizza (and more) and even a salad bar if you don't want anything else. You can either order off a menu or do the all you can eat bar and that usually includes the salad as well. It's a really good environment with great food.
